Photographic Exhibition
From here to down under - A photographic exhibition titled from Here to Down under was launched at Tullamore Dew Heritage Centre on Thursday, October 23. Mairead Dowling who is from Mountmellick took the photographs. Maireads interest in photography started while she was on a year long working holiday in New Zealand. She simply started taking photographs because the natural landscape and scenery was so spectacular. She found she had a flair for photography, particularly landscapes and continued taking photographs on her return to Ireland, seeing local landscapes and landmarks with new eyes and different perspective.
The pictures in the exhibition range from the Southern Alps in New Zealand to the Grand Canal in Tullamore, The Rock of Dunamaise, Kylemore Abbey in Connemara, just to mention a few.
The photographs will be on display in the Tullamore Dew Heritgae Centre for three weeks and are priced between 35 - 75.
