St. Patrick's Day

 

St. Patrick's Day Parade made a welcomed return to the streets of Mountmellick after the parade was cancelled last year due to the fear of the spread of the Foot and Mouth disease.

The parade was hailed as a great success under the theme 'World cup fever', and floats and entries all contributed to the soccer imagery.

Eamon Comerford's fruit and vegetable store won Best Window Display. While the winning float was the creation of the Mountmellick Fishing and Game Preservation Club.
