Comhaltas

Mountmellick Comhaltas music classes have resumed on Tuesdays from 7 PM to 9 PM in the convent extension. New beginners are welcome. Robert Gleeson is the music teacher.

Third World Awareness Quiz

The above quiz will be held in the Mellick Inn on Wednesday October 16 at 6 PM in aid of Sr Catherine Codd and the Presentation sisters in their work in the poor and the oppressed in Chile. Table of four €20. Your support would be appreciated.

All Ireland Thorny Rose Final

The final takes place on Saturday, October 26 in the Hazel Hotel. The show starts at 8 PM. Admission €15. Proceeds in Aid of Rehab.

Sewing Guild

Our Lady's Sewing Guild annual display of vestments and sale of work takes place in the Oweness Hall on Sunday, October 13. It will be open from 11 AM to 1 PM and from 2.30 PM to 5 PM.

Goods for the sale of work especially for the cake stall would be appreciated. (No second hand clothes). Please support a very worthy cause.

Yoga Classes

The above - six week course will be held on Saturday mornings in the MDA centre for the active retirement group, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. All are welcome.

Women's Group

Mountmellick Women's Group will hold their annual AGM on Thursday, October 10 at 8.30 PM in the Methodist Hall. New members are welcome.

Foroige

Foreige has resumed in the Oweness Hall on Wednesday nights from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Any new members wishing to join must their names to Rose, Dolores or Barbara in the Hall at 7:30 PM (Names will be put on the waiting list).
