Derrycappagh House

Derrycappagh House, a mansion where Quaker Joseph Beale and his family once lived. Jospeh was a man of property, and an owner of four factories. In 1832 he married Margaret Davies and they had 11 children, of which three died in early childhood.

This prompted their departure from Derrycappagh House to Monordreigh House (Barkmills), three miles from Mountmellick.
