Heritage Upholstery

Heritage Upholstery is a company that deals with the restoration of furniture to their original state or if a customer would like, changes the look of the furniture to fit into new surroundings.

The company is owned and run by Mr Mark Turner. Mark has over twenty years in the trade. Mark first served his time as an apprentice in Australia before setting up his own company. After seven years Mark decided to travel the world, first embarking to London where he worked for various companies to get a European feel for his trade.

After his European stint, Mark returned to Australia where he started up a new company employing several employees. His flair and talent for blending Australian and European influences soon earned him a reputation for stylish and detailed work throughout the south-east region.

After four years of working in Australia Mark decided to move to Mountmellick, soon he opened his own company working on domestic and commercial furniture.

The pictures here show some of the Marks work, taking first an old suite, stripping it of its old coverings. Renew any boards and springs that may have become worn and then recovering the suite to the customer's specifications.
